After World War II, Friedrich Karl Gotsch was an essential figure of the second wind of the German Expressionism. He was a great admirer of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch and student of the Austrian artist Oskar Kokoschka, without ever being inspired by them. He was following his own artistic approach.

The Artvera’s gallery offers a new perspective on the artist’s oeuvre by bringing together more than fifty oil paintings, woodcuts, watercolours and monotypes
