Die Brücke in Dresde and Berlin, Der Blaue Reiter in Münich and the Knave of Diamonds in Moscow were evolving in different ways. Nevertheless, they share a common enthusiasm for the French modern painting and they were all aiming for the artistic renewal of their respective nations.
The works of Kirchner, Müller, Schmidt-Rottluff, Pechstein, Nolde, Heckel, Jawlensky, Münter, Campendonk, Macke, Gontcharova, Konchalovsky, Lentulov, Machkov are present in this exhibition.
