Hijack
GSTAAD17th February 2015 at 18:30 – Artvera’s Gallery and the Swiss watch manufacture Hublot will present Hijack art exhibition. The grand opening party will be held on February 17th 2015 at the Gstaad Palace Hotel, Baccarat room at 18:30. Hijack will be for the first time presented in Gstaad with Mr. Brainwash directly from Los Angeles for two days only.
Thirty new artworks will be unveiled in the presence of the artists. Hijack and Mr. Brainwash are internationally renowned in the contemporary scene of Pop-Art and Street Art.
At only 24, the media has already called the talented street artist Hijack as “the new Banksy”. He will be presenting his work directly from LA to Gstaad. He had successful Solo shows at Mead Carney Gallery, Mayfair in London, Malta, Tokyo amongst many others cosmopolitan cities. The opening will be filled with international elite who will gather to welcome Hijack into the Swiss Art scene. The conservative Jet set elite of Gstaad will be introduced to the dramatic street art chefs d’oeuvre which will be shown for the first time on February 17th at the Gstaad Palace hotel.
Mr. Brainwash is an international celebrity often recalled by his outstanding exhibition in Los Angeles "Life is Beautiful" supported by Shepard Fairey and Banksy. The legendary artist Banksy produced the movie “Exit Through The Gift Shop” which is based on the life of Thierry Guetta aka Mr. Brainwash (MBW). The film was nominated for Academy Award in 2010 in Hollywood.
Mr. Brainwash is also the author of numerous album covers for Madonna, Michael Jackson, Rick Ross, Red Hot Chili Peppers. The evening will be animated with live music from the famous band from Los Angeles – Chateau Marmont - and Break Dancers. The public will get a rare opportunity to meet the enigmatic Hijack and the notoriously famous filmmaker and artist Mr. Brainwash.
