Roys People is all about creating images and installations using miniature figures, taxidermy and every day items. It all began with 3 miniature figures and 1 taxidermy Mandibularis beetle (a big scary one). My idea was to create an installation of 'The Family' walking their pet beatle on the beach. The idea was based on the control the human race has over any other animal. From the success of this piece and the limited edition prints, I was encouraged to explore the world of the little people in more depth.
Roys' work is all about trying to encourage everyone to see art in a different light. He challenges art by creating images that are intriguing, humorous, thought provoking and fun. He believes everyone can relate to his art in some way or another.
